Hoyo, did you really have to?
<..>

So tonight I'm doing another part of the Simulanka quest line, and came across this wonderful specimen. An arrow etched into the wall to show where we need to go. As if the NPC idle lines weren't enough already, and even just quest markers before any of that.

I understand that this is a fairy tale wonderland meant to be told to children, but isn't this a bit too much? I don't think it's necessary to completely invalidate core game mechanics either. I'm not asking to return to Inazuma levels of insanity I mean puzzles, but this is sugar-coating it too much.

To get into the nitty-gritty of this arrow, it's a sprite just like the walls, stairs, and even the characters themselves are. They had to draw this into the design of the map itself. Maybe it has collision (meaning you'd climb into it and move according to its shape), but I hope it at least doesn't have that. Collision is the difference of what's visible to you and me, and what's "truly" there once you.. well, collide with it. Objects with no or partial collision allow you to move into them.

Regardless though, this event has been dumbed down too much IMO. I do like the storyline of the voiced quests, please don't get me wrong. And I like how this is a prelude to both Kirara's and Nilou's skins, both of which I plan to get if Nilou comes home this patch. I already have the crystals saved up for it. But this much dumbing down for what has to get even r/ELI5 rolling their eyes out? Come on, not like this...
